Anat Grigorio Dance Projects combine contemporary dance and physical theater creating multidisciplinary art works and collaborations with artists on both national and international arenas. The work is based on constant exploration of the human body through natural sensuality that is hidden in simple mundane activities and takes roots in constant research of human spirit, behavior and consciousness, their limits, roles and influences on each other.
Anat Grigorio (1974) born and raised in Petach Tikva – Israel and based in Tel-Aviv. Anat is a stage artist a member of the Israeli Choreographers' association and supported by the Israeli Ministry of Education and Culture. She has been trained as a dancer and a performer at the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Co, Ido Tadmor Dance Co, Niv Sheinfeld & Oren Laor, Nimrod freed dance co, Thieery Moral & Nelly Amar “All Human” Physical Theater Co. Anat has been creating dance works since 2003, and presented her works in renown Israeli dance festivals such as "ISRAEL FESTIVAL", "CURTAIN UP", "WOMAN FESTIVAL", "INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE" ..
Her work have received both Israeli and international acclaim. (2018) Anat was Invited to present her work MEMO at the Israeli week in Gdansk, Poland. (2017) Was invited to participate in “Maker’s Space” - artist in residence project at “Keshet center for the arts” in Albuquerque New Mexico, there she developed her recent work Tragedy of Being. (2016) Took part in “Exposed Festival” - A partnership between five major institutions and organizations in the U.S – Georgia State University’s Rialto Center for the Arts, Emory University’s Candler Concert Series, Kennesaw State University Departments and Dance and Theater and Performance Studies, CORE Dance, and 7 Stages Theatre – to bring over 20 Israeli artists for a six-week festival of performances, classes, workshops and creativity conversations. (2015) Premiered her work MEMO, the piece was invited to several International dance festivals in Albuquerque - New Mexico, Isadora Dance Festival in Siberia – Russia, the Israeli week festival at Gdansk Theater in Poland. (2014) Raised her work ON THE EDGE, the piece was commissioned by renown "CURTAIN UP" festival which was directed by Itzik Juli, and on 2015 invited as a guest performance to the XV International Festival in Krasnoyarsk – Russia. (2013) Her solo work Mr. Niceguy commissioned by prestigious “ISRAEL FESTIVAL” in Jerusalem, "Mr. Niceguy" was invited to a several gender conference like- “Women Leading the Change” Conference in Jerusalem, “Woman Festival” - Gender Conference in cooperation with Tel Aviv University, and also in international dance festivals in- Uruguay, Spain, Russia, China, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Albuquerque , Houston, Atlanta - U.S.A. (2011) Won a prestigious scholarship for choreographers – A Jerrard Bachar center for the arts project’s in Jerusalem carried out under the artistic direction of Nigel Charnock - DV8. That year she directed the outdoor dance stage project "ROCK N' DANCE" at “Akko Festival”, Israel. (2009) received the “Wind Award”, for her work "katuk" during the International Festival "Pula Puff" in Croatia.
Anat teach contemporary dance, composition and improvisation classes and runs workshops in Israel and abroad. She is the founder of "self performance"- A long terms performance workshops that she runs during the year. She creates dance works for dance students, gives master classes and teaches her technique "Catch & Release".
Her new solo work “Tragedy of being” premiered on July 2018 at Inbal theater , Suzanne dellal center, Tel Aviv.
