Tragedy of being
Dance performance & live music
Sonja Jacob - Saxophone, Orr Sinay-Contrabass
A monodrama for a dancer inspired by American talk shows and presented in a tragic comic style. The work brings the idea of paradox as a basic foundation for existence and deals with what it means to be human. It raises questions about gender, identity, status, religion, politics, and relationships and arouses interwoven emotions reconciling life and death, compassion and anxiety, joy and trouble, comfort and horror, guilt and forgivness.
